About Us

AMA Chartered Club 2195

The Cape May County Wireless Aircraft Sport Pilots were incorporated as a 501-C3 on June 15, 1987 and have operated in Cape May County since.  Our mission is to provide a safe and convenient environment for people within our county to pursue the sport/hobby of flying radio control aircraft and helicopters.  Currently we fly at a field located on Rt. 9 in Ocean View.  We have monthly meetings held on third Wednesday of the month at the Middle Township Middle School Cafeteria in Cape May Court House.

We are a chartered club of the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) #2195.  As an Academy of Model Aeronautics chartered club our members must belong to the AMA.  Click the AMA logo above for information about that organization.  We also in 2009 were recognized by AMA as a Silver Leadership club.  In 2010 we were again recognized for Gold Leadership Club.

Our club is actively seeking members with an interest in flying model aircraft. Age is not a limit and we have participating members from 8 to 90. We offer free instruction to interested adults and children so they can learn and enjoy the sport. The club has an annual family picnic at our field in September. We participate in Middle Township’s road clean up program twice a year, Middle Township’s National Night Out and the Woodbine Festival of Friends. You are invited to attend a meeting or flying event to learn about our activities. View our calendar page for dates and times. A club membership application is available by clicking HERE.

If you have questions, please contact a club officer.
